Overview

Nearly 1 in 5 adults, youths and children experiences a mental health condition during an average year. Additionally, about half of the world's population will meet the criteria for a mental health condition at some point during their lifetime. Many people tend to struggle with their conditions in silence, not knowing where to turn or how to ask for help, and they often feel afraid of rejection or potential consequences. This CME series covers an array of topics and scenarios that will help to improve the clinical knowledge and skills of practitioners. Treatment and medication play critical roles in tackling mental health issues. However, the importance and necessity of being properly educated on mental health cannot be overstated. Mental Health practitioners should therefore provide necessary care, awareness and resources for mentally ill individuals and their loved ones. It will help to break the stigma associated with mental health and promote efforts for treatment and recovery.
