Who we are

Daktari Online is an independent medical education and medical communication company headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, serving healthcare professionals, healthcare institutions and industry partners across Africa. It is the healthcare professional platform and brand of Daktari Media Africa.

We combine accredited professional learning, healthcare communications, digital engagement, technology and event-media production to help healthcare professionals learn, connect, collaborate and access credible knowledge whenever and wherever they need it.

We empower healthcare professionals with relevant knowledge, meaningful connections, credible communication and practical technology, helping improve healthcare delivery across Africa.

From a pilot idea to a continental HCP network

We moved from testing the idea of online CPD to building an integrated ecosystem for learning, professional community, healthcare communication, technology and media.

2011
The pilot begins
Daktari Online was founded as a pilot project to test the concept of continuous online learning for healthcare professionals.
2015
Company formed
The initiative became a full-fledged company under Daktari Media Africa LLC, a dedicated home for digital healthcare education.
2017
Online CPD milestone
We registered 185 healthcare professionals and achieved online CPD provider accreditation with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
2018
iCPD integration
The platform integrated with the KMPDC CPD Management portal (iCPD), supporting digital CPD compliance and professional appraisal.
Growth years
Multi-cadre expansion
Content, users and institutional partnerships grew, extending CPD activity across more healthcare cadres and markets.
