Overview

Decades of inappropriate use of antibiotics, combined with a void of new development and discovery of antimicrobials, has led to AMR emerging as one of the most critical risks to global public health requiring action by governments around the world. The goals of antimicrobial stewardship programs include attenuating or reversing antimicrobial resistance, preventing antimicrobial-related toxicity, and reducing the costs of inappropriate antimicrobial use and health care associated infections. This CME series is a case-based series dedicated to strengthen and improve the clinical knowledge and skills of primary care practitioners as they serve, support, and deliver care to patients. The series includes lecture presentations with examples of clinical scenarios that cover an array of different topics.
